Commissioner's Notes

A little late on the Week 9 updates, but better late than never, right? A simple message  this week. Just a thank you for all the volunteers and families out there supporting the program and making it a positive environment. The kids and the community need that. Our crazy world creeps into youth sports every once in awhile, but walking the fields in Week 9 I saw a lot of positives and a lot of support.

Thank you!

Eric Dilger
Regional Commissioner

Volunteer of the Week

Liz Runyon: Liz Runyon has Refereed in 33 games so far this season. All as an Assistant Referee on the touch lines. Assistant Referees are critical to help our Referee teams and especially our new and advancing Referees. Liz is a grandma to current and former players and we couldn't be more thankful for her efforts. Thank you!

Board Member of the Week

Everything from getting them through the volunteer process to coach training to team building with the Registrar, and all that even before a single parent is called! Lisa has championed to get more equipment to our coaches and is always there to support and counsel coaches throughout the seasons. Her work continues through tournaments, all-stars and into the Spring. It is one of the most demanding volunteer jobs in any AYSO Region and Lisa does an amazing job at it. Lisa is also the Coach of the 11U Girls Extra Team and she, her Husband Corey are their kids have combined to complete 46 Referee spots this season. A huge Thank You to Lisa and the entire Kimura family!
