Referee Information

Welcome Referees!

Refereeing is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things you can do as part of the AYSO family. AYSO welcomes parents, relatives and friends to referee. Whether you are a novice or a past player, we will teach you everything you will need to know about the game and laws of soccer. We're here to help you get the most out of referee experience to help enrich children's lives with training and mentoring.  This year we will even be adding more referee tents for each of the divisions (i.e. George Lane, Lower Joe Walker, etc.) and mentoring opportunities to help you transition into the unique position.

4 Steps to become an AYSO Certified Referee:

Before you can become an AYSO referee there are several requirements that need to be completed. All these steps are necessary to protect our children and both train and protect you as a volunteer.

      Contact our Referee Administrator,
Doug Emert, for assistance

 2.  Complete the Online AYSO Regional Referee Training

 3.  Attend and Complete one of our online Zoom Training Sessions

 4.  Complete training with an in-person session for flag and field signals

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Training must be completed in order. For example, you can not attend the Zoom session unless you have completed the online course.
