A good problem is when I get positive feedback on too many coaches to list. This was one of those weeks. We had notes on a number of Coaches helping each other. I really want to thank our 6U and 8U coaches who are sharing players or mixing up teams when one or both teams are short. Believe or not this had actually been a real problem in the past. While not required in the competitive ages, thanks also go out to those 10U-19U coaches who will make adjustments when player numbers are lopsided. Teams are rebuilt every year in AYSO, so your opponents this season will be your teammates next season. Different teams, one AYSO!
We have a number of brand new Referees. It is tough to put yourself out there. I don't get to Referee as much as I'd like, but this past week I was able to get in two 10U matches with one of my kids as an AR. I want to shout out to Tiffany Rexius and Jon Silva who were my other assistants. Both are new and did a great job, asking great questions and not only getting points for their teams, but wanting to do right by the kids. I want to thank all our new referees for getting out there.
Finally, if you get a chance, Quartz VIP will Host Palmdale VIP at 11:00 on Lower Joe Walker Field 3. Both Regions have great programs for our Special Needs kids so drop by, watch and cheer both teams on!
Enjoy Match Week 6!
